OPERATIONS MANAGER
Lakeland Laser Limited are looking to recruit an experienced and competent Operations Manager. Within your role you will be responsible for the office and workshop staff. It is essential that the suitable candidate is capable of undertaking the day to day running of the Company, reporting directly to the Managing Director. We are looking for a team player who is approachable and good with people. The position requires a practical management style and a can-do attitude.
Main areas of responsibility:
Previous experience within a similar type role is vital, ideally within the engineering sector. A good education is essential together with competent computer skills including Word and Excel. The successful applicant must have a working knowledge of accounts to trial balance although full training will be given on our TAS system.

Machine Operators.
We are seeking machine operators to join the production team and aid in the manufacture of a wide range of products for the agricultural, construction, petro-chemical, shop-fitting, sign-making, architectural, nuclear, automotive and aerospace industries.

All necessary training will be given in all aspects of the role. Typically these positions have suited those from mechanical, engineering and manufacturing backgrounds. Computer literacy and good mathematics will be an advantage, as will a practical mind together with a hands-on approach. The positions require some flexibility as they are based on shift work and your own transport is essential.
Assistant to Operations Manager
We require someone who will initially assist the Operations Manager in her full range of duties. The job involves day to day running of the general office and accounts work covering sales, purchase and nominal ledgers, VAT and credit control together with preparing various management reports. This position also incorporates overseeing quality control, marketing, health and safety and a range of staff issues.
If the person appointed proves to be capable, there is a strong possibility that promotion to a management position may take place within twelve months. Successful applicants will have a good education and a strong background in accounts including nominal ledger. Full training will be given on our TAS accounting system. Computer skills in word and excel are essential.
Welders/Fabricators.
Welders/Fabricators are required to assist with the assembly of components that we have cut and folded. This is principally for MIG but TIG will also be useful. Applicants must be prepared to undertake other work within the factory as and when required. Pay rates according to experience.
